Irish court told Nigerian woman was forced to have sex with up to 10 men a day


A NIGERIAN WOMAN who was allegedly trafficked into the country and forced into prostitution was having sex with up to ten men a day for no payment, a trial has heard.
The woman has told a jury she underwent a “voodoo process” in her home country before coming to Ireland, during which she swore she would not report the alleged trafficker, Joy Imasogie, 40, (pictured above).
The woman also alleged that while she was working as a prostitute, Imasogie’s husband, Kingsley, began “taking advantage” of her and having sex with her.

27 people killed in Brazilian jail riot, 9 injured


Twenty-seven inmates have been killed in a Brazilian Prison riot between members of a drug gang and their rivals, increasing the number of prison killings in the country this year to 140.

According to NY Times, the riot began around 5PM on Saturday Jan. 14th at the State Penitentiary of Alcaçuz, and continued until around 7am on Sunday, when riot police officers took control of the prison.

Politician Who Planned To Bribe God To In Order To Enter Into Heaven Buried With N17M


An Ugandan Politician, Charles Obong, who planned to bribe God in other to enter heaven was buried with Ugandan Shillings 200 million (N17 million).
 It was reported that the money was supposed to be used by the deceased to ask for forgiveness for his sins on earth.

In his will, Obong stated that the money had been deposited to his wife, asking her to put it in his coffin during his burial.

Plane carrying $1 million worth of gold crashes in Zimbabwe


Authorities in Zimbabwe has announced that a small aircraft transporting $1 million worth of 22 kg gold from Bulawayo to Harare on Tuesday crash-landed due to engine failure. The Cessna 206 aircraft, which had two people on board, crash-landed in Kennilworth, Bubi District in Matabeleland North. According to the authorities, the two persons were rescued but one of them suffered minor injuries.

Publisher of SaharaReporters, an online news agency based in New York city, United States of America, Mr Omoyele Sowore, was yesterday arrested by the Police in Lagos, over allegation of threat to life and blackmail on a London based journalist, Lekan Fatodu. Fatodu in a petition to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command, Mr Fatai Owoseni, accused Sowore of publishing a story on alleged money laundering against him.

Three Men Storm Ekiti Government House to Steal N25m... and This Happened to Them


Three persons have been reanded in custody by a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Ado Ekiti for allegedly stealing N25m in the Ekiti Government House in Ado Ekiti, The Punch reports.

The accused – Bamidele Temitope, 36; Afolabi Sunday, 42; and Shuaib Amidu, 67 – allegedly stole N25m belonging to one Sunday Omosilade, the Personal Assistant to Governor Ayodele Fayose.

The police prosecutor, Sergeant Caleb Leranmo, told the court that the accused committed the offence on December 29, 2016, at the Ekiti State Government House Lodge in Ado-Ekiti.

Baale Oloode sues Olubadan for removal


The Baale of Oloode in Oluyole Local Government of Oyo State, Chief Lukman Ilufemiloye Alao, has sued  the Olubadan, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, for his removal from office.

He is asking for N2million general damages for the pain, embarrassment and degradation he suffered for what he called his “unlawful deposition by Olubadan”.

The Baale, in a motion on notice by his counsel, Saani Oyedele, joined the Olubadan-in-council, Oluyole Local Government, and the new Baale,  Dauda Odeyemi, as co-defendants.

Jammeh asks Buhari, others to postpone Gambia trip


At the instance of President Yahya Jammeh of The Gambia, the high level ECOWAS mediation mission led by Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has pushed forward its visit to Banjul, the capital of Gambia, to Friday.

In accepting to postpone the visit earlier planned to take place on Wednesday, President Buhari, who is mediating alongside John Mahama, the immediate past president of Ghana, said the delay notwithstanding, the mandate of the ECOWAS will be accomplished.

FRC has no power to fix Adeboye, others’ tenure –Reps


The House of Representatives has ordered a “detailed” public hearing on the activities of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria, particularly the Council’s decision to fix the tenure of the leadership of religious organisations.

The House passed the resolution on Wednesday in Abuja at a session which was presided over by the Speaker, Mr. Yakubu Dogara.

It came after members debated and endorsed a motion moved by the Minority Leader of the House, Mr. Leo Ogor.

Thomas McClellan, 25, was said to have allegedly sat on his five-year-old stepdaughter's chest and stabbed her before setting her ablaze because she asked for a snack.

McClellan Says he was angry because Luna, the little girl refused to leave his room and insisted that he gave her food, during courts preliminary hearing on Thursday.

Woman watches as her boyfriend rapes, tortures, posions and strangles her 14 year old daughter to death


In what can only be described as a sick, twisted act, a mother in order to fulfil a fantasy she and her boyfriend shared killed her 14-year-old adopted daughter in her home in Abington, Pennsylvania, USA.

Sara Packer watched as her boyfriend, Jacob Sullivan, raped her daughter, Grace Packer. Afterwards, the couple went on to beat the teenager and poisoned her. When Grace survived that up till the following day, she was strangled and to cover their tracks, the couple packed Grace’s body with cat litter to hide the decomposing smell and stored it in the attic. They eventually dismembered the body after being scared by a police visit and scattered it in the wilderness where some parts were found by hunters.
