Funny study: Supporting certain clubs lower your life expectancy

A recent study of life expectancy amongst football fans has shown Liverpool and Birmingham City supporters to have the worst in England.
It also revealed that Newcastle fans are the most likely to be big binge drinkers while Gillingham supporters suffer most with obesity.

Followers of the Anfield club live on average to be around 72.61 years of age, while fans of Lee Clark's outfit sit bottom of the list at roughly 72.39.
A study from the BBC took around 100,000 people living in catchment areas closest to each teams' respective stadiums, and found the Merseysiders to be second only to the Midlands outfit for worst life expectancy figures.
The study calculated the latest official data from Public Health England to arrive at the conclusion, while also factoring in a number of social and economical issues.
Followers of West Sussex-based Crawley Town top the table at 81.82, while Fulham finished runners-up at 81.65.
Chelsea finish just behind neighbours Fulham at 81.44, and the affluent area of west London would be second in the world only to Japan if the catchment areas represented nations, according to the survey.
Manchester is also seen as having a poor life expectancy rate, with United's 74.50 finishing a few places above local rivals City's of 72.97.
Liverpool's neighbours Everton finish eight places above them on 73.68, while the north London catchment area puts Arsenal and Tottenham side-by-side with Spurs' 75.15 edging out the Gunners' 74.95.
Meanwhile, figures also suggested Newcastle fans had drunk the most in the days leading up to the study, with 40.90% of people living near St James' Park binge drinking. Birmingham fans are the second least to have a tipple at 8.21% just behind table toppers West Ham at 6.91%.
The club shop having to sell the most XXXL shirts is Gillingham with almost a third of adults in the surrounding area being obese. Fulham fans are the slenderest, just 13.43% with an obesity problem.
