Real Madrid have decided to keep Alvaro Morata, Marca report. The Spanish giants opted to trigger the buy-back clause in the striker’s Juventus contract and what their intentions are has been the subject of much speculation. Many reports claimed they would sell him for profit.
However, Marca, seen by many as a mouthpiece for Madrid, write that he won’t be sold this summer.
The 23-year-old has shown his quality since leaving the Bernabeu for Juventus in 2014. He helped the Italian side win a domestic double and reach the Champions League final, where he scored in defeat to Barcelona. He also scored three times for Spain at Euro 2016.
Scary forward line
Now it seems as though Zinedine Zidane wants Morata leading the line.
Having rejected a €60 million bid from Chelsea, he wants the academy product to compete with Karim Benzema. The club’s forward line won’t be lacking with Ronaldo and Bale also at their disposal.
