Diego Costa has hit back at Cesc Fabregas on Instagram after the midfielder cropped the striker out of a celebration photo following a tournament in Chelsea training.
Earlier this week, the Premier League leaders held a 6-a-side competition in training with the teams split up by the nationality of the players.
Chelsea’s Spainish side, which was made up of Fabregas, Pedro, Marcos Alonso, Cesar Azpilicueta, plus Belgium’s Thibaut Courtois and Serbia’s Nemanja Matic, ended up winning the tournament after beating Brazil in the final.
Interestingly, Diego Costa, who was born in Brazil but plays for Spain’s national side, was part of the Brazilian team along with David Luiz, Willian, Kenedy and Nigeria’s Victor Moses.
After their win, Spain celebrated with a team photo, but Chelsea’s training footage shows that Costa also posed with the Spain side after taking off his bib.
And when it came to posting the news on social media, Fabregas took the decision to unceremoniously erase Costa from the picture.
But the move did not go unnoticed by Costa, who responded with an angry message to Fabregas in the comments.
The striker wrote in Spanish: ‘F**ker where am I? Are you high?’
Before throwing in some middle finger emojis for good measure.
