.
It was reported that the accident took place around 3:30 p.m. BST near the Premier League champions’ Cobham training complex in Surrey on Wednesday.
Though Bakayoko did not sustain any serious injury however his chances of being involved in Saturday’s trip to take on Stoke City may be unaffected.
It is the second car accident to occur in close proximity to Cobham in less than a month.
On Aug. 25, a 14-year-old autograph hunter suffered minor injuries after being hit by a vehicle on the public road that runs adjacent to the training ground; though no Chelsea players or staff were involved.
.
Due to the lingering effects of a knee injury, Bakayoko has started just three matches since joining Chelsea from Monaco for £40 million in July. But he came through 90 minutes with no ill effects in the Blues’ 5-1 demolition of Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup third round on Wednesday.
.
“He is starting to adapt himself in our style of football. I am pleased because I think these are good signs for us.”
