Manchester United have made one last attempt to try and lure Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal before the transfer window shuts, according to reports in Italy.
United have been tracking Vidal for most of the summer and had even agreed terms on a £182,000-a-week deal to bring him to Old Trafford.
However, the deal collapsed over the failure to agree a fee, and Vidal said last week that he now expects to stay put.
But in a dramatic twist, Tuttosport newspaper says the Red Devils have returned for the Chilean and made a £39.5million offer.
It’s not clear whether Juve would be willing to sell the player, especially this late in the window, but the paper says United are still hopeful of getting Vidal on board.
United apparently want an answer quickly or they will move on to other targets.
