Man dies drinking acid served as water

On May 23, 2014, when Mr. Sunday Obi, a retired staff of Chevron Company Ltd, Warri was served breakfast by his wife, Dora, little did he knew that that was going to be his last meal on earth. The late Obi was alleged to have been served acid instead of water to go along with the food. Two of his sons are fingered as among the three suspects. 


Narrating the incident to Sunday Vanguard in the family’s No.2 Okumagba Street residence, Warri, the bereaved wife said, “We woke up that morning; and i made his (husband) breakfast before I left for church. While in church, I received an urgent call from his last son, Ikechukwu, that I should come home, that my husband had been rushed to hospital.

Farmer bites cobra to death in Nepal

A Nepali farmer who was bitten by a cobra in his rice paddy field has killed the snake by repeatedly biting it in return.
"A snake charmer told me that if a snake bites you, bite it until it is dead and nothing will happen to you," Mohammed Salmodin said.

5 PDP Members Die In Boat Mishap In Bayelsa

Tragedy struck on Saturday, 1 November, 2014, when about five members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, reportedly died in a boat mishap that happened in Ekeremor Local Government area of Bayelsa.
Sahara Reporters informs that the victims of the tragic incident were on their way back from Yenagoa where they went for the conduct of PDP’s Ward Congresses in Bayelsa State.
