Former Red Devils star and assistant manager, Ryan Giggs, has admitted that the club have neglected to sign some of the most promising players in the world and criticised Manchester United's recruitment policy after they passed up on the chance to sign Kylian Mbappe and Gabriel Jesus despite his recommendation.

The attackers are two of the highest-rated young players in Europe at present as 19-year-old Mbappe is flourishing since his summer switch to Paris Saint-Germain from Monaco in a deal that will cost around €180 million, while Gabriel Jesus, 20, has scored 17 goals in 36 appearances for Manchester City since joining from Palmeiras for around €33m.

Fares increased at Lekki toll gate, Ikoyi link bridge


The Lekki Concession Company Limited (LCC) says from January 1, 2018, motorists using the toll gate at the Victoria Island end of the Lekki-Epe expressway and Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge would have to pay more money.

Currently, cars are levied N120, sport utility vehicles (SUVs) N150 and commercial buses N80 at the toll gate, while cars pay N250 and SUVs, N300 at the bridge.

Adewola who is the traditional ruler of lgburowo Community in Odigbo LGA of Ondo State, was sent to prison by an Ore Chief Magistrate court.

A Benue State-based pastor, Edwin Anayo, has denied being an robber claiming he only bought a Lexus Sport Utility Van from some people for N650,000.
Anayo said this in Makurdi, the Benue State capital as its police command paraded nine suspected armed robbers who specialised in car and motorcycle theft. The suspects were apprehended in different locations of the state and had allegedly been terrorising the state for the past three months.

A 15-year-old housewife, Dausiya Abdulmuminu, has been arrested by the Katsina State Police Command for allegedly poisoning her husband, Samilu Usman, 27, and half-brother, Mohammed Abdulmuminu, leading to their death.

Spokesperson for the command, DSP Gambo Isah, while confirming the incident in a chat with journalists on Friday, said that the lady had been detained at the Bakori Police Division.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos zonal office, has arrested 13 suspected internet fraudsters for conspiracy, possession of fraudulent documents and obtaining money under false pretense.

The suspects are- Badejo Tobi, Abiola Dimeji, Anthony Godwin, Osoba Adeboye, Adeleken Abiodun, and Awokoya Oriyomi Yusuf.
