A man, Azeez Oladipupo, who allegedly hit his neighbour with an iron rod in the face, was on Friday released on N500,000 bail on the orders of a Tinubu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.
The Magistrate, Mrs F.O. Ikobayo, who gave the ruling, also granted the accused two responsible sureties in like sum.
The 25-year-old is facing a charge of assault occasioning harm to which he pleaded not guilty.

According to Idris, 268 patent medicine shops were inspected and 295 applicants recommended and approved for licensing, adding that 80 patent medicine vendors were trained on the use of Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) for malaria parasites.

They were further alleged to have burgled the homes of these women and carted away their clothings, kitchen utensils and other valuables.

Tragedy struck in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State last week when a 23-year old man, Fidelis Musa, committed suicide after an argument with his mother.

Musa’s lifeless body was found dangling in his room in Jimeta, Yola after a misunderstanding with his mother, which left her with a sprained wrist.

According to family members, the deceased, afraid that his mother may curse him following their brawl, decided to take his life.

Sick Man Stabbed to Death Inside Private Hospital


A South African man has been stabbed to death while at a private hospital in Pretoria.

According to EWN, police say the victim was alone in a consultation room at the Louis Pasteur Hospital when he was attacked by a 23-year-old suspect on Thursday afternoon.

He was stabbed multiple times in the upper body and died on the scene.

Kelebogile Koenaesele (30), from Thaba Nchu in South Africa has been brutalized after leaving her church yard in Botshabelo on Sunday.

According to Daily Sun ZA, a church leader’s son accused her of sleeping with his father. Without knowing about the attack, the irate son of the pastor, hit Kelebogile with a stone.

She was left injured and in pain before being rushed to a local hospital where she is recuperating.

Men of the Nigeria police force have stormed the Abuja residence of Danjuma Goje, the senator representing Gombe central, found cash in sums of $19,000 (N5.8 million) and 4,000 Saudi riyals (N326,000).

According to reports by TheCable, they also found N18 million in the Nigerian currency in the house. Goje who is a former Governor of Gombe state from 2003-2011 was at the national assembly office working on the 2017 budget when the police stormed his residence with over 40 officers.

The 36-year-old Egyptian woman, believed to be the world's heaviest at 500kg (1,102lb), has now lost 250kg since undergoing weight loss surgery in February.

After losing the weight, Eman Ahmed can now fit into a wheelchair and sit up for longer periods of time, her doctors in Mumbai told the Times of India reports.

When she travelled to India in February to have the surgery, Eman's family said it was the first time she had left home for 25 years.
