N’Golo Kante close to featuring against Manchester United – Antonio Conte


Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has said N’Golo Kante is “progressing well” and insisted that he will not be taking a risk if he includes the midfielder in his team to take on Manchester United on Sunday.

Kante has been sidelined since picking up a hamstring injury on France duty in early October, missing six matches in all competitions including damaging losses in the Premier League against Crystal Palace and in the Champions League against Roma.

The aggregate value of all cryptocurrencies hit a record high of over $200 billion on Wednesday, according to industry website Coinmarketcap, putting their reported market value at more than that of U.S. banking giant Citigroup.

The new record came as the biggest and best-known cryptocurrency, bitcoin, hit a record high of $7,500 BTC=BTSP on the Luxembourg-based Bitstamp exchange, after a more than tenfold increase in value over the past 12 months.

Argentina’s ex-VP Amado Boudou arrested in corruption case


Amado Boudou, former Argentine President Cristina Fernandez’s economy minister and also vice president, was arrested on corruption charges on Friday, becoming the second major official in her government to face detention.

Police arrested Boudou and an alleged associate, Jose Carmona, in an upscale neighbourhood of Buenos Aires for racketeering and money laundering, state-run news agency Telam reported.

Turkish police have detained 283 suspected Islamic State (IS) militants in Turkey in the past 11 days, a statement released by Security General Directorate said on Friday.

The statement said that among the 283 suspected IS militants, 187 are foreign nationals, while 96 are Turkish citizens.

NDLEA Arrests 48 Katsina Students For Drug Abuse

Senate C’ttee to Probe Past Administrations over Concession of FCT Assets


The Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has indicated its readiness to open probes into the concession of government property to the tune of N2.7 billion, during the tenures of former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, and former FCT Ministers Nasir El-Rufai, Aliyu Modibbo and Bala Mohammed.
