Police arrest 2 doctors, nurses who helped Lagos pastor procure four abortions on teenage girl


The Police in Lagos State have arrested two medical doctors and two nurses who allegedly carried out abortions on a teenager, who was impregnated by a pastor at the Agodo-Egbe branch of a popular Pentecostal church.

The victim was rushed to the hospital and later discharged after it was discovered that the pregnancy was not properly evacuated.

A prominent member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos is dead. Rasaq Bello, popularly called Hamburger, was shot on Monday in the Shogunle area of Lagos during the local council primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He was shot by members of a rival gang allegedly led by Samson Agbetoye, popularly called Golden. Golden is said to belong to the MC Olumo faction of the NURTW in the state.

Passengers faced a third day of disruption at Heathrow on Monday as British Airways cancelled short-haul flights after a global computer crash that unions blamed on the outsourcing of IT services to India.
The embattled airline said it was cancelling 13 short-haul flights from Heathrow Airport, Europe’s busiest, but was aiming to operate a full long-haul schedule from the hub and was operating a full service from Gatwick Airport.

Panic took hold of some parts of Lagos at the weekend after police detectives reportedly arrested two men suspected to be members of the dreaded terrorists group, Boko Haram at Alaba market in Lagos. 

According to PM Express, the suspects were  arrested at Alaba Rago area of Ojo local government Area of Lagos, with the identities of the suspects believed to have been detained at Okokomaiko police division,yet disclosed.

A tiger killed a female zookeeper Monday at a zoo 80 miles north of London.
“A tiger had entered an enclosure with a keeper. Sadly the female zookeeper died at the scene,” Cambridgeshire Police said in a statement.

A gang of women kidnapped a man and raped him for three days while force-feeding him energy drinks, police said.

The victim, 23, was found traumatised and exhausted after being dumped in a field semi-naked after his 72 hour ordeal, according to cops in South Africa.

Watford hired former Hull City boss Marco Silva as their new manager on Saturday following Walter Mazzarri’s departure from the Premier League club.
Silva left Hull earlier this week following the Tigers’ relegation from the English top flight and Watford quickly made him their top target to replace Mazzarri.
