The Real Madrid forward, follows in the footsteps of celebrities like John Lennon, after the Aeroporto Da Madeira was named after him.

Barcelona have confirmed that they have decided to name a new ground after their former player and manager, Johan Cruyff.

It will be a part of a series of tributes to honour the Dutch legend.

John Dumelo allegedly caught with 2 missing government vehicles


Government agents have caught popular actor, John Dumelo, with two state vehicles. One of the vehicles is a Toyota Land Cruiser V8, according to a report by the Daily Guide.
He was said to have been caught with the Land Cruiser at a spraying shop in Accra where he had allegedly taken it to be resprayed. The vehicle is said to be one of the 200 vehicles the presidency says are missing.

Four suspects have been arrested by the Oyo State Police Command for killing a trader, Akintoye Oyeyemi, and removing his heart for ritual purposes.
Commissioner of Police in the state, Abiodun Odude, said while parading the suspects at the state police command, Eleiyele, Ibadan that two of the suspects, Gbenga Babalade, 40, and Tunde Jimoh, 37, killed the victim in a cashew plantation farm in Ajase-Ipo, Kwara State, believing that he had N10m with him.

The Nigeria Police have arrested two serving officers of the Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) ‎for dealing in suspected illegally refined petroleum product AGO (diesel) with a patrol van belonging to organization.
According to the police, the coordinated operation was carried out by IGP’s Special Task Force on Petroleum/Illegal Bunkering in Bayelsa State.
The police in a statement by its FPRO, Moshood Jimoh said the laboratory analysis carried out by Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC) revealed that the products were off specification.

MTN Nigeria Loses as 714,000 Internet Subscribers


Nigeria’s telecommunications networks lost 1,275,573 internet users in February, with MTN losing  714,700 subscribers, the highest.

The Nigerian Communication Commission made the disclosure in its internet subscribers’ data for February.

The publication indicated that internet users on both Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) and Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) networks dropped from 91,304,755 in January to 90,029,182 in February.

Alhaji Abdullahi Mohammad-Kwadon, who was the first Speaker of Gombe House of Assembly has died at the age of 75. Alhaji Habu Abdu, a lawyer and son of the deceased, confirmed this on Saturday.


He said the ex-speaker, who died on Saturday, had been buried according to Islamic rites. He is survived by four wives, 30 children and many grandchildren.

He was a teacher, administrator at the Local Government Service Commission and manger at Ashaka Cement Company.

The Edo State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has arrested two suspected cannabis barons while also seizing 18,294kg of cannabis with an estimated street value of N183m.
One of the suspects, a Bauchi-based suspected cannabis dealer, Mohammed Mustapha was apprehended at Uzebba, Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State where he was facilitating the shipment of 7,272kg of cannabis to Bauchi State.
