A mother has been arrested after her four young children and their father were found slain in a home outside Atlanta early on Thursday. A fifth child survived and is in critical condition in hospital.

A four-year-old boy, Chima Obiduru, who was stolen on January 5, 2017, during a church service in Okpoko in Onitsha, Anambra State was on Thursday reunited with his parents, Mr and Mrs Victor Duru by the police in Imo State.
Handling over the boy to his legitimate parents after seven months he was stolen, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Andrew Enwerem, said that the child was recovered on April 17 by the operatives of Ogbaku police division in the Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the state.

A Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday ordered the senator representing Ogun-East senatorial district, Buruji Kashamu, to submit himself to the police for investigation into an alleged attempt to murder a member of the House of Representatives representing Ikene/Shagamu/Remo-North Federal Constituency, Oladipupo Adebutu.

Delivering judgment in a suit instituted by Kashamu, Justice Nnamdi Dimgba ordered that the senator must honour all invitations by the Special Investigating Panel set up by the Inspector-General of Police to investigate the allegations contained in Adebutu’s petition.

A commercial bus driver, Christopher Chimezie, has been living in pain since he lost the use of his left eye after a soldier reportedly attacked him at Abule Ado bus stop, at the Mile 2 end of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, Lagos State.

296 motorists fail FRSC psychological test out of 305 arrested


The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Thursday said it had arrested 305 motorists for 345 life-threatening traffic offences since the launch of its Operation Cobra on July 1.

The Corps Marshal of the agency, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, who disclosed this in Abuja, said nine of the arrested offenders passed the psychological test administered on them.

Dr. Bola Omotosho, the Community Board Chair for The Bronx 5, New York, told a Correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria that Bello hails from Auchi in Edo State.
