THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed claims that a Senator rigged election on behalf of it.

The opposition party stated this on Sunday, while reacting to the request by the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) on Saturday urging it to confess its sins against Nigerians like the lawmaker did.

Man Launches Himself In Self-Made Rocket To Prove Flat Earth Theory


A man named "Mad” Mike Hughes has launched his homemade rocket into the sky, with him aboard, in an attempt to prove that the Earth is indeed as flat as a pancake.

The launch, which took place in the Mojave Desert in California sent Mad Mike 1,875 feet into the sky in his big green rocket. The rocket, labeled with “RESEARCH FLAT EARTH”, operated surprisingly smoothly given it was homemade and built on a very small budget.

China slams additional tariffs on United States products


China has slapped extra-tariffs of up to 25 per cent on 128 United States products, including frozen-pork.

The tariffs to take effect from Monday also hit other items such as wine and certain fruits and nuts.

This is in response to U.S. duties on imports of aluminium-and-steel, China’s finance ministry said.

Innocent Orji, president of the association of resident doctors (ARD) in the state, said Chizaram took ill and was diagnosed with the disease after attending to an 11-month old baby who later died.

The Yoruba Youth Socio-Cultural Association has come down heavily on the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Adewale Akanbi, for allegedly adopting the title of an Emir and for wearing a turban instead of the Yoruba traditional cap or the crown.

A 25-year-old man identified as Dodo Baraje, has been arrested by the Niger State Police Command for reportedly killing his uncle after he advised him against drinking local alcohol.

The suspect who spoke to newsmen over the incident which occurred in Shirumbu village, said he shot his uncle out of annoyance, because he was beaten by him for drinking ‘suck and die’ which the deceased said might ruin his life. Northern City News gathered that the father of four, had lived with his uncle from infancy before killing him. He was trailed and apprehended by a team of policemen attached to the Bangi Police Division of the state, while trying to escape.
