Video: Man Wins Bet, Then Dies After Drinking an Entire Bottle of Tequila


A man at a Dominican nightclub recently collapsed and died after winning a bet for having drunk an entire bottle of tequila. The incident, which occurred at Vacca Lounge in La Romana, DR was captured on video and has since gone viral.
Kelvin Rafael Mejia was stoked to take on the challenge, as it promised a cash prize of $630. But what he wasn't prepared for was the possibility that the alcohol would send his body into shock and cause him to pass out.

The first democratic President of Haiti, Rene Preval dies at 74, According to reports the former leader died on Friday, February 3. 20017 after falling unconscious at his home.
The cause of death for the two-time president was not made public. His sister, Marie-Claude Calvin, said an autopsy would determine the cause.

Preval was a central figure in Haitian politics from the early nineties through to his second presidency.

Obasanjo library: SERAP seeks law on disclosure of donations to fund presidential libraries

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, has urged the Acting President Professor Yemi Osinbajo to “urgently propose a bill that would specifically regulate and bring transparency to any future presidential library fundraising process, and make public disclosure of major donations towards the establishment of any such library mandatory.”
The organisation said that, “Osinbajo should work closely with the leadership of the National Assembly to ensure the speedy passage of any such bill into law.”

The Federal University Wukari in Taraba has promised to offer automatic employment to all the16 graduating students of the institution that came out with first class degrees.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Abubakar Kundiri, who disclosed this during the maiden convocation of the institution on Saturday in Wukari, also said that those who were willing to pick up the appointment, would similarly be trained up to their third level degrees.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has clarified his remarks about Igbo Presidency. Obasanjo said he spoke out because he felt that the apparent marginalisation of the South East people was wrong.
