Two Fake Soldiers Arrested In Ogun


The Ogun State Police Command says it has arrested two persons who have been impersonating as men of Nigeria Army in order to extort and maltreat innocent people in Agbado area of the state.
The two fake soldiers were  Joseph David and Adebayo Olanrewaju.

An overpass has collapsed over a motorway in Italy, crushing a car and killing two people inside.
The bridge had been under construction when it fell onto the main Adriatic coast motorway this afternoon.

Man who beat murder case killed minutes after leaving jail


Kamari Belmont, 23, from Chicago was accused of murder and robbery but he had his charges dropped and walked free when prosecutors could not give him a speedy trial. Soon after Kamari left the Cook County Jail on Monday night, he was killed.

Kamari was accused of shooting one man during a robbery who died eventually and robbing another man hours later on May 1st, 2015. However, in January 2017, Cook County prosecutors dropped the murder charge against Kamari and his co-defendant, Terrence Hogan, also 23, on the grounds that too much time had elapsed without the case being brought to trial, under the state's speedy trial statute. For his robbery charge, a bail was set at $100,000.

An Abuja Magistrate Court in Bwari has ordered the remand of a young boy for allegedly impregnating a 16-year-old Junior Secondary School student. The young boy’s mother was also accused of threatening the girl if she failed to abort the pregnancy.

The father of the girl told the court that the incident had forced the girl out of school.

He said the pregnancy was first suspected by the mother of the girl before it was later confirmed at a hospital.

Turkish gunman who killed toddler is murdered at his wedding six days after release from prison


The man who killed a Scottish toddler at a Turkish cafe in 2003, has died after being shot at his own wedding. 

Daimi Akyuz, 46 had been sent to jail after he was found guilty of firing the shot that killed Alistair Grimason, while the toddler was sleeping in his pushchair.

A fight had broken out at the cafe over a mobile phone and Akyus shot, killing two people. The second person was Ali Bektas, a mobile salesman.

Global Systems Mobile Communication (GSM) service provider Etisalat is locked in discussions with its creditors who are battling to recover a $1billion loan.
In the talks are three banks – Zenith Bank, Access Bank and Guaranty Trust Bank—which advanced the telco the loan about two years ago.
A large portion of the loan, which  was meant to expand the telco’s network, is unpaid. The banks are threatening to invoke a segment of the loan agreement, which allows the creditors to assume the management of the company.
