N’Assembly members to buy N50m Abuja flats

Members of the National Assembly are currently subscribing to a mortgage facility that will make each lawmaker cough out N2.5m every month, according to a report.
It was gathered that the lawmakers are buying flats in an estate close to Apo Legislative Quarters in Abuja at N50m each, while payment for each unit will be spread over 20 months.
The Senate had, at the resumption of plenary on April 4, 2017, entered an executive session, where the mortgage facility was discussed behind closed doors.

A Nigerian teen Jude Chiedu Akachukwu, who walked into a professor’s office without being invited, closed the door, blocked the doorway, threatening that the professor won’t leave the office until she agreed to allow him to make up an exam, was arrested on Tuesday.

It was gathered that the 19-year-old college student imprisoned the Santa Fe College professor against her will, and also grabbed her arm as she tried to walk away.

People heading to tattoo parlours have been warned after a man died following the contraction of a deadly flesh-eating bug.
The unnamed 31-year-old had a pair of hands praying and a crucifix inked on his leg, the Daily Record reports.
Experts usually advise that people with new tattoos should wait at least two weeks before entering pools or sea water due to the risk of infection.
