A 22- year-old driver identified as Samuel David, has been arraigned before an Ikeja Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Lagos for allegedly defiling his neighbour’s eight-year-old daughter.

David, who resides at 30, Oremeji Street, Bariga area of the state is being tried for rape.

The Prosecutor, Sergeant Raphael Donny, informed the court that David committed the offence at his residence on May 12.

5 Men Arrested Over Suspected Bank Robbery


The Inspector-General of Police (IGP’s) Intelligence Response Team (IRT) on Friday announced the arrest of five suspected armed robbers who had planned to attack some banks in Lagos. .

Abuja bombing: Court strikes out treason charge against Okah


Justice Gabriel Kolawole of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, today struck out one of the treason charge brought against the alleged mastermind of the 2010 Independence Day bombing, Charles Okah.

In dismissing the charge, Justice Kolawole said the evidence brought before his court did not prove that former President Jonathan, who was at Eagle Square when the incident happened, was intimidated by the attack.

Google has unveiled the final plans for their luxury £1billion UK headquarters. The 870,000 sq ft building planned for Kings Cross in London will be the first office the tech giant has designed for itself outside California. It will have sleep pods, an Olympic sized swimming pool, wellness and fitness centre with a gym and a large indoor sports hall for games and a rooftop field with 200 metre running track to ensure wellness for up to 7,000 staff.

Police have launched manhunt looking for three women who murdered and dismembered a 22-year-old woman, Warissara “Amm” Klinjui in Thailand on May 23.

The three suspects, Priyanuch Nongwangchai, 24, Kawita Rachada, 25, and Apiwan Satayabundit, 28, are wanted on suspicion of killing of the young woman in the northeastern province of Khon Kaen. It’s alleged they lured her into a car, strangled her to death and then sawed her body in half as part of a revenge plot. Her remains were found buried May 25 in two large buckets.

A 38-year-old lawyer who raped a 32-year-old American tourist who passed-out at the Oktoberfest beer festival, walked free from court with a suspended sentence after he claimed that he developed a 'spontaneous affection' for him after drinking at least 10 pints of beer. The lawyer raped the tourist at the famous beer festival in Munich, while the man was in a drunken state, and told the court he could not explain his actions , adding that he was not homosexual despite sexually abusing the man.

A Sin City warehouse of a Swedish sex toy company in Las Vegas, US was hit by thieves in two separate attacks. According to CNN, over the Memorial Day weekend on Friday night, the bandits broke in and stole boxes containing 30,000 condoms in the first attack.

On Saturday morning, they returned and rammed a vehicle through a delivery door. This time they grabbed boxes containing $15,000 worth of sex toys.
