The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, Prof. Itse Sagay (SAN), on Thursday, said corruption was omnipresent in the country with all segments being affected. He specifically indicted the Niger Delta Development Commission and the Nigeria Customs Service which he said are still enmeshed in corruption even under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. 

Disney Airs First Ever Gay Cartoon Kiss!!!


A Disney XD show subtly displayed several gay kisses on an episode that aired on Monday. The Star vs. the Forces of Evil episode featured a scene at a boy band concert, where several people, including gay and lesbian couples, kiss to the music. The gender of various other lip-locked couples shown is unclear.
Though this is the first on-screen same-sex PDA, Disney has periodically included non-heterosexual relationships in its TV shows, including a lesbian couple in Good Luck Charlie and a gay couple in Gravity Falls.

Barack & Michelle Obama Sign $60m Book Deal With Penguin Random House

Barack and Michelle Obama have signed book deals with Penguin Random House, the publisher announced on Tuesday. Financial terms were not disclosed for the books, for which several publishers had competed, although the Financial Times reported that bidding reached more than $60m – a record sum for US presidential memoirs.
By comparison, fellow Democrat and former president Bill Clinton earned $15m for rights to his 2004 memoir My Life after he left office, while Obama’s immediate predecessor, Republican George W Bush, reaped some $10m from his 2010 book Decision Points.

Uber loses legal challenge against English tests for London drivers


The bad news just keeps piling up for Uber. The ride-hailing giant has lost a court battle against London’s transport regulators which have been seeking to raise the level of English spoken by private hire vehicles on safety grounds, requiring that all drivers pass an English proficiency test this year.

31-year-old sentenced to 30 months for stealing phone in Ogun


An Abeokuta Magistrate’s Court in Ogun State has sentenced a 31-year-old man, Rotimi Adekunle to 30 months imprisonment for stealing a phone.

Adekunle resides at number 35 Olomore Housing Estate, Abeokuta.

He was arraigned on March 31, 2016, on a two-count charge of stealing and unlawful possession of a Samsung Galaxy phone he could not account for and had been on awaiting trial since then.
