Suspect Apprehended After Woman Lost N6.5m Hidden Under Her Bed In Lagos

A woman lost N6.5 million she kept under her bed in a  ‘Ghana Must Go’ bag after her residence was invaded by thieves. The incident reportedly happened in Ajah area of Lagos. The victim simply identified as Mrs. Esther, was said to be targeted by one of her neighbours who connived to steal the money and escaped when she was not around.

According to P.M Express, when she eventually returned, Madam Esther went where she kept the money under her bed but did not find it.

Top Bank Official Sacked In UK After Depositing Cash Given To Him By King Of Ghana

Mark Arthur, a Ghana International Bank executive was sacked from his job after he deposited £350,000 in cash given to him by the King of Ghana. After depositing the funds, it was reported to have triggered a money laundering alert in London. The top banking executive was also investigated by the National Crime Agency.

According to Daily Mail, Mark Arthur was summoned to Osei Tutu II’s home in UK and given £200,000 as well as $200,000 and told to deposit the funds.

Morocco will replace Kenya as hosts of the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN), organisers announced Sunday.

The emergency committee of the African Football Confederation (CAF) met Saturday in Lagos and unanimously decided to give Morocco the green light ahead of Equatorial Guinea. A third candidate, Ethiopia, was not considered because it did not provide a letter of guarantee from its government.

Most Reverend (Dr) Emmanuel Adetoyese Badejo, the Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Oyo, , has condemned Christians crying foul about the purported attempt to islamize Nigeria.

Gunmen Kill Three NDLEA Officials

Three operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have been shot dead by gunmen in Okene.

The Commandant of the NDLEA in Kogi, Idris Bello, told reporters on Sunday in Lokoja that the three operatives were gunned down while on patrol.

A 32 year old Ugandan woman who stabbed her husband to death in his sleep last night, has been arrested by the Ugandan Police.

Acting police spokesperson, Danny Mwale, who confirmed the incident said the incident occurred after the couple had a fight.

A 26-year-old suspect, Olasunkanmi Olajide, has revealed how he was arrested by detective attached to the Rapid Response Squad (RSS), Ikeja, Lagos State Police Command, moments after he, and his partners in crime, dispossessed a pastor of his phones and N6000.

According to Olajide, he and his nine friends were returning from the New African Shrine, Ikeja, when they bumped into Pastor Adetayo Samuel and robbed of his three phones and N6000.

Lai Mohammed urges International partners to proscribe IPOB

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has called on Nigeria’s International partners to designate the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as a terrorist organization. The Minister made the call in his article, entitled ”Thwarting Terrorism in Nigeria”, which appeared in the US newspaper ‘Washington Times’ on Thursday, 12th Oct. 2017. He argues that IPOB’s actions qualify the group as a terrorist organization in most jurisdictions. On 20th Sept 2017, the Federal Government of Nigeria proscribed IPOB, which has been violently agitating for a separate state in the South-East.

‘I bought 15 cars, built four houses’ suspected human parts dealer apprehended in Ogun state confesses

The Ogun state police command recently arrested a suspected ritualist who specializes in buying and using human parts for rituals. According to the state police commissioner, Ahmed Iliyasu, the suspects were members of two syndicates that operate within the state.

The police commissioner told newsmen that the first syndicate comprising of 67-year-old Lateef Aremu pictured above and 32-year-old Kola Sodipo, specialized in purchasing and exhuming corpses for money ritual. They were arrested following a tip-off from members of the public.
