Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic says he is ‘ready’ for Europa League final


Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic is stepping up his recovery from the knee injury that supposedly ended his season, even hinting that he will be ready for the Europa League final against Ajax on Wednesday.


The 35-year-old sustained an ACL injury against Anderlecht last month which appeared to have prematurely ended both his stay at United and perhaps even his career.

Veteran Reggae music artiste, Ras Kimono, is not happy with the quality of music churned out by young artistes in the industry today.

“Music is supposed to be a weapon of social change. A musician is supposed to be a prophet who speaks the truth as it affects everybody in the society. But can you tell me what these young artistes are preaching about. They do nothing but sing about butt, boobs and other mundane things that do not add value to anybody. It is not a bad thing to sing party or dancehall music but there is a problem when 95 per cent of the music out there sound the same and don’t even have any meaning.

I started dancing first; I used to love Michael Jackson a lot. From dancing, I fell in love with the music I was dancing to. Back then in Federal Government College, Warri, when you got to a certain class, you would have to get involved in one social activity or the other. For the ladies, they would teach you how to cook and for the boys, they had other things. So, I joined the Boys Brigade.

Court orders arrest of Canadian Girls over threat to kidnap Otedola


A Yaba Chief Magistrate Court, has issued a warrant of arrest on two Canadian nationals Kiranjot and Tara Matharoo, who are standing trial before it, in a case of threat to kidnap, cyber-stalking and blackmail against Nigeria billionaire and oil mogul, Femi Otedola, socialite Dapo Balogun and one Omoregie Ige, for failure to appear in court.

The court has also ordered the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, to arrest two other persons, Alhaji Waheed Shobulo and Ade Oregbensa, who stood as sureties for the sisters after they were granted bail by the court, in December 2016.

Mohammed Dieng, a fashion designer, was on Friday arraigned in a Karu grade 1 area court, Abuja, for allegedly damaging a customer’s clothes. he damaged clothes were said to be worth N138, 000.
 
Dieng was granted bail to the tune of N150, 000. The 26-year-old designer was tried on a two-count charge of criminal breach of trust and cheating, which contravened sections 312 and 322 of the Penal Code.

Six-year-old Kingston Frazier who was supposed to graduate from kindergarten on Thursday at North Jackson Elementary School was found murdered in his mother's car which was stolen while he was in it at a grocery store. According to MSNewsNow, Kingston’s mother, Ebony Archie, stopped at a Kroger grocery store at about 1:15 AM Thursday morning, parked her Toyota Camry, left the car running, with Kingston inside the vehicle, and ran inside the store for a few minutes to shop.
