Police arrest 6 men who gang raped a girl in her parents presence


The police command in Benue state have arrested 6 men who robbed and gang raped a girl in her parents presence.
.
The suspects TERFA USHAHEMBA 25yrs, WAYO FRANCIS 21yrs, IORKYE TERKAA 20yrs, VUE STEVEN 20yrs, TERSOO APEIZE 22yrs, and SIMON TERNA 24yrs committed the offence on September 25th and were paraded on Friday, alongside other arrested criminals .

Herdsman murdered by friend over cows in Kebbi


A 23-year-old herdsman, identified as Umar Muhammad, has been beheaded by his 22-year-old friend, Mustapha Muhammed, over argument on missing cows.

The Guardian gathered that the late Mustapha invited the suspect to help him rear cows given to him by someone, so that he could concentrate on rearing goats that were given to him by the same man.

Abducted Edo Catholic priest released


The Parish Priest of St. Benedict Church, Iddo 2, Okpella of Auchi Diocese, Fr. Lawrence Adorolo who was abducted on Wednesday has been released.

Adorolowa abducted along Auchi-Okene highway at about 6pm while returning from Igarra in Akoko-Edo local government area where he attended the ‘Month Mind’ of the oldest Priest of the Auchi Diocese, late Fr. Lawrence Balogun at St. John Apostolic Church, Igarra.

Lara Nosiru, a  student at Bristol University, England, who jumped to her death from a bridge was under the influence of drugs, officials have disclosed.

The 23-year-old, “extremely bright” final year student of neuroscience had taken a large number of sleeping tablets and some LSD when she jumped off Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, the coroner has concluded.
