A teenage father in California, America, has been arrested for allegedly biting off his infant son's nose, causing a skull fracture and brain haemorrhage in the process.
Police say 18-year-old Joshua Cooper, of Fairfield, Calif., "bit the child's nose off while he was crying and he was frustrated he was not able to ease the child's crying." He has been charged with child cruelty and aggravated mayhem.
The baby is in stable condition but one third of his nose is missing. Police are still investigating how the baby boy sustained the other injuries
