A young child had to fill the shoes of a man after he was forced to come to the rescue of his mother with a call to 999 emergency services.
The 6-year-old, who can not be named, became worried about his mother after he found the door of her room locked and she didn’t answer him.
30-year-old Farkhanda Younis was allegedly stabbed 19 times in the neck by her jealous husband, Jahangir Nazar, 35 at her home in Chadderton, Oldham in the United Kingdom.
Nazar, who had married Younis in an Islamic ceremony in 2012, had found out that his wife was cheating and claimed that his crime was manslaughter and not murder because “mental illness” played a part.
The prosecution however argued against his defense, saying that his actions after the crime, withdrawing money, disposing of blood-soaked clothing and filling up his car, showed that he was well aware of what he was doing.
