Diego Costa has admitted his £32million move to Chelsea is nearly over the line.
The 25-year-old, who will be representing Spain in this summer’s World Cup, was quizzed over his club future by Cadena Cope radio station after La Roja’s friendly victory over El Salvador.
When asked by the reporter whether he would be going to Chelsea, Costa replied: ‘Well, it looks like it.’
The hitman was also asked how he felt about returning to his native Brazil under the flag of a rival country.
He said: ‘Whatever reception I am given depends on how people over there have interpreted the way things have turned out.’
Costa made two friendly appearances for Brazil back in 2013 before switching his allegiances to Spain.
