Chelsea have made an £118milllion bid for Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
The Blues were linked with Messi on the past and reports in Spain suggest the giant offer went in weeks ago to try and lure the player to Stamford Bridge.
It’s not clear whether Barca rejected the offer or simply refused to reply, but Chelsea were hopeful of doing business.
Messi’s future at Barca has been subject of intense speculation in recent months, with several claims saying he is unhappy with life at the Nou Camp.
His interest in the Premier League is no secret, with the Argentina star previously speaking to Cesc Fabregas about a switch to Arsenal.
