Chelsea are set to beat Arsenal to the signing of Real Madrid ace Sami Khedira – with the Blues ready to include Petr Cech in a swap deal.
Khedira had been expecting to join Arsenal when the transfer window re-opens with reports emerging last week that terms had been agreed with the Gunners.
However, the Daily Express says Chelsea are set to trump Arsenal and land the German by offering Cech to Real as part of the deal.
Madrid are very interested in landing experienced glovesman Cech and are happy to hand Khedira over to get their man.
Arsenal are only proposing a cash deal and Madrid have made it clear they would favour doing business with Chelsea now instead.
