Former Brazil international striker Adriano dealt with the disappointment of a collapsed transfer to Le Havre by blowing £13,000 on 18 prostitutes, it has been claimed.
The 33-year-old’s move to the French outfit broke down after Christophe Maillol’s proposed takeover of the club failed.
According to local media outlets, including Extra and Eurosport, Adriano – perhaps best remembered for a successful spell at Inter Milan – consoled himself by catching the next flight back to Rio de Janeiro, to enjoy the nightlife… in his own special way.
The veteran forward was cleared of drug trafficking in 2010 and, it seems, his footballing career has taken a downward spiral ever since, having played only ten competitive matches since a 2011 move to Corinthians.
