The clash was set to kick off at 12.30pm in Beijing's Bird's Nest Stadium today.
But torrential rain has forced officials to call off the fixture.
"Due to recent weather events, tournament organisers & participating clubs have decided to cancel tonight's International Champions Cup game," United tweeted.
