Female preacher of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Abuja Eunice Olawale, who was murdered on Saturday July 19 while preaching will be laid to rest today at the Gudu Cemetery, Abuja.
A service of songs was held for her yesterday evening at the Redeemed Christian Church of God Provincial Headquarters, Phase three, Kubwa. The 2000 capacity auditorium was filled up as security personnel comprising members of the Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and Members of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) controlling the crowd. Major roads leading to the church were also blocked to traffic to avoid congestion.
Worshippers and sympathisers who graced the service of songs described her death as a glorious exit, though they confirmed that “it was painful”.
The 15 year old first daughter of the deceased, Jessica Olawale read a Scripture from the book of Revelations 20:7-15.
It will be recalled that late Eunice Olawale was murdered in the early hours of Saturday 19th July while she was preaching.
In his sermon tagged: ‘Uncertainty of Life’, the Pastor in Charge of the RCCG FCT 2, Pastor C. A. F. Obasa urged faithful not to relent in propagation of the gospel because of attacks on Christians.
