A newlywed husband is missing after he ‘jumped’ overboard on a cruise ship while on a honeymoon to the Bahamas.

The ship was en route from Port Canaveral in Florida to Nassau in the Bahamas, and was about 10 miles northwest of the Berry Islands.

After the man disappeared, the cruise ship turned around and launched a search boat.
By Saturday morning there was still no trace of Scott, who was travelling with wife Angelijica after they renewed their vows, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.

A helicopter and a clipper was also sent out to look for the man from Georgia.

The Liberty cruise ship resumed its course to the Bahamas on Friday afternoon.
A Carnival spokesman said: ‘The missing guest’s family has been notified and our CareTeam is providing support.

‘We extend our thoughts and prayers to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.’
