Las Palmas begin attempts to keep PSG’s Jese Rodriguez on loan

Las Palmas have begun talks to keep on-loan forward Jese Rodriguez for next season, president Miguel Angel Ramirez has told Marca.
Paris Saint-Germain’s Jese has spent the last five months at Las Palmas, scoring three goals in 16 league appearances.

“We want to keep him. We have begun negotiations but his wages are very high,” Ramirez said.
Jese joined PSG from Real Madrid last summer and returned to Spain on loan in January after protracted talks between Las Palmas and the Ligue 1 giants.
“It was more difficult for us to bring Jese back in January than it is now,” Ramirez said.
“Things are now different with PSG, and if Jese leaves Paris we will be there as a great alternative.”
Jese, who has made only one league start at PSG, took a huge pay cut to join Las Palmas earlier this year and has said he wants to stay with them next season.
“Next season would be different,” the 24-year-old said. “It’s not the same to join a team in preseason than midway through a campaign. I’m certain I would do a better job.”
