Atletico Madrid are considering a deal for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as an alternative for Chelsea striker Diego Costa, according to Tuttosport.
Ibrahimovic has been released by Manchester United after his one-year deal expired at the end of the season.
The 35-year-old is currently recovering from a knee injury.
Atletico are unable to sign players until January 2018 due to a transfer ban and Costa is reportedly concerned about a potential lack of regular football during a World Cup year.
The La Liga club are now believed to have Ibrahimovic in their sights, as he is is expected to be fit to play first-team football again by the time the Spanish club’s transfer ban is lifted.
