Man City target signing of Dani Alves from Juventus

Manchester City are interested in signing Dani Alves from Juventus, according to Sky Sports.
Sky Sports reports City have held initial talks about a move for the Brazil right-back, but are still yet to reach an agreement with either the player or club.

Alves joined Juventus from Barcelona on a free transfer last summer and has one year remaining on his contract with the Italian side.
City boss Pep Guardiola is keen to strengthen his defensive ranks having allowed Pablo Zabaleta, Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy to leave this summer following the conclusion of their contracts.
The 34-year-old has previously worked with Guardiola at Barcelona, spending four years at the Nou Camp under the Spaniard’s tutelage.Alves won the Serie A and Coppa Italia during his first season in Italy and also helped Juventus reach the Champions League final in Cardiff, where they were beaten 4-1 by Real Madrid.
Guardiola is also looking into alternative full-back options, including Benjamin Mendy (Monaco), Kyle Walker (Tottenham Hotspur) and Ryan Bertrand (Southampton).
