Lil Wayne ‘found unconscious’ after suffering another seizure

Lil Wayne, American hip-hop star, has been hospitalised after suffering a seizure.

According to TMZ, Lil Wayne – real name Dwayne Carter – was on Sunday found unconscious in his hotel room in Chicago.

The Grammy-winning rapper was subsequently taken to the Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Michigan, where he reportedly had another seizure.

TMZ quotes his representative as confirming that the rapper had indeed “suffered multiple seizures”.

Lil Wayne is no stranger to hospitalisation for seizures.

The rapper, who is admittedly epileptic, was bedridden for days after he had multiple seizures in 2016.

The report further said “his team tried to have him discharged late Sunday afternoon so he could make it to his Vegas show” but his doctors were said to have advised against it.
The rapper was on the bill to perform at Drais Beachclub in Vegas alongside Rae Sremmurd on Sunday night.

Exactly a year ago, the New Orleans-born rapper had taken to Twitter to announce he was “mentally defeated” over his rift with Young Money Cash Money Billionaires (YMCMB) record label.

Wayne and Birdman, YMCMB CEO, have been at loggerheads for some time, with the former accusing the latter of delaying his album for years.
In a bid to try and get out of his contract with YMCMB, Wayne had sued Birdman for a reported $51 million.
