Gunmen Storm Popular Hotel In Ondo, Disappear With Hotel Director And Guest


Some gunmen who are suspected to be kidnappers on Saturday evening, kidnapped two people in Supare, in Akoko southwest local government area of Ondo state.

According to Nigerian Tribune, a source revealed that the two victims were kidnapped at a popular hotel in the town by the gunmen who dragged them into a waiting vehicle.
 
He explained that the two victims included the director of the hotel and a lodger who was in the town for a funeral ceremony which took place in the town on Saturday.
 
He said the two victims were dragged into a waiting vehicle which brought the suspected kidnappers and left for an unknown destination.
 
He, however, said there was no contact from the abductors of the two men concerning the whereabouts of the two men.

The commander-in-charge of Akoko Area Police Command, Mr Abdulrasak Abdulrauf, confirmed the incident but said policemen from the command were working hard to ensure the release of the two abducted persons.
 
Also, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the state police command, Mr Femi Joseph, said the state commissioner of police, Mr Gbenga Adeyanju, has ordered men of the state police command to search for the victims.
 
He confirmed that one of the victims was the Director of the hotel, saying that the police are on top of the situation.
 
He assured that with the efforts of the men of the state police command, the victims would regain their freedom soon.
 
The PPRO urged the people of the town and state to remain calm, stressing that “we are already working on the arrest of the culprits and I can assure you that the suspects will not go scot-free.”
