Majekudunmi of the Ogun State High Court sitting in Abeokuta has convicted and sentenced one Folashade Olukemi Adeleke to six months imprisonment without an option of fine on two court charge bordering on stealing contrary to section 390(9) of the Criminal Code Cap Act C38 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.

The convict who was arraigned by the Ibadan Zonal  office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Friday 25th November, 2016 and pleaded not guilty to the two count charge preferred against her was later found guilty of the charges after full trial. The Court convicted and sentenced her accordingly.

Folashade’s   journey to the prison followed a petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, from a complainant (name withheld) alleging that the convict defrauded her of the sum of 6,750,000.00 (Six Million, Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) under the guise that she had a four bedroom bungalow available for sale in Abeokuta Ogun State.
