Liverpool 'to finally sign Lallana with £26m bid'

Liverpool 'to finally sign Lallana with £26m bid'

Liverpool are set to make a final ‘take it or leave it’ offer for Southampton captain Adam Lallana following weeks of stalemate talks.
The Reds have made Lallana their number one transfer target this summer, but have so far seen bids of £20million and then £23million rejected by the St Mary’s club.

Brendan Rodgers has a list of alternatives if a deal can’t be agreed, including Xherdan Shaqiri and Max Meyer, but he is preparing one final attempt to lure Lallana.
According to reports, the offer will be about £26million, with the majority of the cash set to be paid up front.
Southampton are willing to part with the England midfielder for the right price, but have so far been put off by Liverpool’s structuring of an agreement.
It’s hoped this new offer will be good enough to finally do business, with Liverpool expecting a quick answer from the Saints on what they want to do.
If an agreement can’t be reached by the end of next week, the club will focus on doing deals for other options.
