Chile star Alexis Sanchez wants to stay at Barcelona next season – but would allegedly prefer to join Arsenal over Liverpool if he is forced to move this summer.
According to Spanish newspaper Sport, the 25-year-old is ‘happy’ in Spain and wants to spend at least one more season at Barcelona.
Sanchez is believed to be wary about being labelled a failure should he leave the club this summer after just two seasons.
Arsenal and Liverpool remain keen on luring him to the Premier League in the coming months, with Arsene Wenger understood to be mulling over a £32 million bid for the electric forward.
Liverpool are also keen on Sanchez, and reports have suggested that the Reds could be willing to sell star striker Luis Suarez to Barca in exchange for £50m plus the Chilean.
However, Sport claims that Sanchez would snub Brendan Rodgers’ side in favour of a move to the Gunners if he is let go by Barcelona this summer.
Sanchez was part of the Chile team that reached the last 16 of the World Cup in Brazil before being knocked out by the host nation on penalties.
