Manchester United could face competition in the transfer race for Antoine Griezmann with reports that Bayern Munich are considering entering the running for his signature.
The Atletico Madrid forward’s future has been the subject of much speculation this season, with United long linked as the big favourites to snap him up in the summer.
Still, Bayern are reportedly lining up one major transfer move in the region of £85million this summer, and Griezmann is listed as one of the big names they could try to bring in.
With the goals drying up for Thomas Muller this season and with the likes of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery past their peak, Carlo Ancelotti could do with a big-name addition up front.
According to Bild, Bayern could also try to launch a big-money bid for Juventus’ Paulo Dybala and Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe in that position, while Paris Saint-Germain’s Marco Verratti is also a target in midfield.
Griezmann has 25 goals and 9 assists in all competitions this season, establishing himself as one of the best forwards in the game at the moment.
Previous reports have stated he has a release clause of £85million, which United are prepared to meet.
