Cesc Fabregas overtakes Frank Lampard in Premier League all-time assists table

Cesc Fabregas has overtaken Frank Lampard by registering his 103rd Premier League assist in Chelsea’s 4-2 victory over Southampton.

The Spain international provided the cross for Diego Costa’s header in the second half of Chelsea’s latest win at Stamford Bridge, which has put Antonio Conte’s side seven points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Fabregas is now one clear of former Chelsea midfielder Lampard in the Premier League’s all-time assist table.

Ryan Giggs leads the way with 162 assists for Manchester United, while Fabregas’ nearest current rival is Wayne Rooney, who is only two behind.
