Chelsea set Diego Costa transfer fee at over £60million

Chelsea name Diego Costa asking price with replacements lined up

Chelsea will reportedly ask for over £60million for star striker Diego Costa amid rumours that he could leave the club in this summer’s transfer window.
The Spain international has been in prolific form for the Blues again this season, but is thought to have never truly settled in London during his three years at the club.

Costa has been linked with a host of top European sides such as Paris Saint-Germain and his former employers Atletico Madrid, though it was interest from the Chinese Super League that really seemed to turn his head in January.

It remains to be seen if any particular club is leading the chase for Costa’s signature at present, but Chelsea have made it clear they will not allow the 28-year-old to leave on the cheap.

The Premier League champions, who are preparing for what may be Costa’s final game for the club in tomorrow’s FA Cup final against Arsenal, will demand at least £60million for their top scorer, according to The Times.
That would boost Antonio Conte’s cause in terms of bringing in a top class replacement, with the west Londoners linked with the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata numerous times in the last few months.

Still, Costa would undoubtedly be a big loss for Chelsea, having netted 58 goals in his three seasons in England, helping the Blues to two Premier League titles in that time.
