Internazionale have announced that Stefano Pioli has been relieved of his duties as first-team manager, with Primavera manager Stefano Vecchi taking over for the remaining three matches of the season.
Pioli, 51, took over the club six months ago, after then-manager Frank de Boer was sacked following a woeful start to the season for Inter.
The former Lazio manager oversaw a decent run of results midway through his brief tenure at the San Siro, but a recent slump — including a 1-0 loss to Genoa on Sunday — has the one-time Serie A powerhouse sitting seventh in the table, three points behind AC Milan for the final European place.
