Arda Turan has agreed a move to Arsenal but the Gunners have not yet agreed a transfer fee with Barcelona, according to reports in Spain.
El Desmarque report that Barca are open to offers for the 30-year-old this summer and Arsene Wenger has stepped up his pursuit of the midfielder.
But while the player would welcome a switch to Arsenal, Barcelona are still holding out for a €30 million (£26m) transfer fee.
Wenger is trying to reduce that valuation and is likely to succeed as Barca want to complete the sale as soon as possible and a deal could be struck within the next few weeks.
The Turkey international only started 15 games in La Liga and the Champions League for Barcelona this season and is up for sale, despite having three years remaining on his current contract.
Barca’s sporting director Robert Fernandez is also already looking for replacements for Arda.
