Mayor Kirk Caldwell confirms that at least three people have died in a massive fire at a Honolulu high-rise on Friday.
The fire began around 2:15 p.m. Hawaiian time on the 26th floor of the Marco Polo Apartments, a 538-unit building that houses apartments on Kapiolani Boulevard.
The victims were found on the same floor, and about 100 firefighters worked to put down the flames and evacuate the residents.
