An autistic teenager was sexually assaulted inside a Brooklyn park, police said Friday.
The 17-year-old girl was on her way home from school when she got off the wrong bus stop Wednesday afternoon, sources said.
The teen spent several hours trying to get home before she was approached by her attacker who asked if she needed help.
According to CBS news, he man led her into Prospect Park where he took off her pants and raped her, sources said. After the assault, the man allegedly told the victim that it was getting late, so he was going to take her to church.
He took her to Methodist Hospital around 1 a.m. Thursday and left her in the chapel; where she told a hospital staffer about the frightening crime hours later, sources said.
Police released surveillance footage of the man Friday showing him limping away from the chapel in a red shirt, beige pants, white sneakers and a grey hat.
