Girl who fled Germany to join Isis faces execution as video of capture emerges

A schoolgirl who fled Germany to join Isis faces execution as a new video of her capture emerged.

The clip showed Linda Wenzel, 16, being escorted by soldiers after being dragged from her hideout in Mosul.

The Jihadi bride could be heard screaming in pain after being shot in her left thigh during a helicopter attack.

During the melee an Iraqi soldier shouts: ‘Make room, make room, she is a Christian, she can’t take it anymore, she is hurting, she is weak, she is a blonde, she is a German.

‘Her name is Dania, no Linda. Allah, Allah. Make way guys, let her through.’

Cheering as 'ISIS schoolgirl' Linda Wenzel is captured

Wenzel, who changed her name to Mariam, was reportedly taken to a temporary prison after she was detained in July and could now be put to death if found guilty of being part of Isis.

Germany hope to avoid that and are trying to get her back to the country so they can try her for allegedly being a member of a foreign terrorist organisation.

But nothing has been agreed yet with the Iraqi government and Wenzel remains in Iraq where she fled to last year when she was just 15 years old.

A member of the terrorist group had groomed her online and she had then converted to Islam and left to marry a fighter.

She was widowed soon after she arrived in the warzone when the Chechen man she had married was killed in a strike.

Wenzel told German media she regretted joining Isis and wanted to come home to her family in Pulsnitz.

It’s not yet clear if Wenzel, who was nicknamed the Belle of Mosul, had participated in any violence and what her specific role was.
