Robbers Missed Millions After They Invaded Lord’s Chosen Church In Lagos

Dare-devil robbers burgled the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Church branch to steal the church offering money running into millions after the Sunday service but failed as the whole money realised was immediately removed from the church premises after the service.

However, when they did not find any money, they disconnected the church projector worth N650,000 and escaped. The incident happened on Sunday September 3, 2017 at the church branch located at Lateef Kamoru Street in Idimu, Lagos.

It was gathered that the robbers monitored the activities of the church and discovered that they realised huge sums of money that were dropped in their offering box on that day. In the night, they went into the church  and broke the keys to the auditorium, searched everywhere but they did not find any money there.

Since they missed their main target, instead of leaving the church premises in total  frustration, they carried  the projector kept in the church and escaped.

The incident was reported to the police at Idimu Division and the police went into investigation and arrested one of the suspects.

The suspect, a 32-year old man, Sunday Lucky was arrested and charged before Magistrates court sitting in Ejigbo for the alleged offence. He pleaded guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mr Akeem Fashola ordered him to be remanded in prison custody and adjourned the matter for the prosecutor to present facts and sentence.

P.M.EXPRESS asked Lucky why he pleaded guilty and he said he did so in order not to waste the time of the court because they missed their target at the church.
