The former Chelsea and Arsenal left-back has been in Los Angeles for two years after a disappointing spell with Roma.
“I want to be here. We’re speaking. It’s in their court with me,” the 36-year-old said.
The Galaxy are likely to make extensive changes this off-season and Cole could be dispensable when his contract runs out at the end of the year. It means a start to a coaching career could begin in 2018, just like Steven Gerrard, if a new deal is not forthcoming
