Young Men Who Stabbed Colleague To Death With A Sharp Knife Arrested In Bauchi.


In unrelenting efforts to rid Bauchi State of crime and criminality, the Command under the leadership of CP SANUSI N. LEMU, psc had through a coordinated operation smashed different criminal syndicates who specialized in perpetrating various crimes in the state as follows:

CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY /CULPABLE HOMICIDE
On 16/12/2017 the Command arrested the following suspects
i. Abubakar Yakubu
ii. Suleiman Mohammad
iii. Kamalu Kabiru all males of Doya Ward in Bauchi metropolis.
The three (3) suspects and eleven (11) others now at large had on 15/12/2017 at about 2130hrs conspired among themselves and killed one Abdulsalam Danlami ‘m’ 18yrs now deceased of the same address. The principal suspect Abubakar Yakubu voluntarily confessed that he used a sharp knife and stabbed the deceased on the neck that led to his instant death.
During investigation a blood stained sharp knife that was alleged to have been used in committing the crime was recovered from the second suspect Suleiman Mohammad.
RESCUE OF HOSTAGE ARREST OF ABDUCTION/RAPE SUSPECT
Following an incident reported on 12/12/2017 at about 1830hrs, that unknown person(s) abducted one Sadiya Adamu ‘f’ 18yrs of Kobi street Bauchi to unknown destination, the suspect later called her family, threatened and informed them that the victim is in his custody but refused to disclose her location, on receipt of the information a team of Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Command swung in to action, traced and arrested the suspect one AshiruAdamu ‘m’ of Ilelah Street Bauchi in custody of the victim.
The Victim informed the Police that the suspect raped her severally before her rescue.
EXHIBIT RECOVERED:
One Tecno GSM Phone used in committing the crime.
3. CRIMINAL CONSIPIRACY/ARMED ROBBERY AND KIDNAPPING
Following a report by one Ya’u Gaji ‘m’ of Gubi Gari Bauchi that On 15/11/2017 at about 0100hrs that unknown gunmen stormed his residence and robbed him the sum of N40,000:00 and also made away with his Bajaj Motorcycle valued at N200,000:00.
Discreet investigation by FSARS led to the arrest of one Mansur Abdul ‘m’ 22yrs of Takandar Giwa Village Toro LGA on 19/12/2017. The suspect voluntarily confessed to have participated in the crime and several Kidnapping cases in Kano and Bauchi State.
Exhibits recovered include:
i. Two GSM phone HCL and Tecno model used in ransom negotiation
ii. One Jack Knife
4. ARREST OF KIDNAPPING/ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT
On 12/12/2017 at about 0200hrs one Hassan Adamu ‘m’ 33 years of Dungulbi village, Bauchi LGA reported that on the same date, unknown gunmen stormed his house at the above address, attacked him and his family and also robbed them the following items:
i. One Bajaj Boxer Motorcycle valued at N125,000.00k
ii. Three GSM phones valued N33,000.00k
The culprits also demanded the sum of one million Naira (N1,000,000:00) from him or else he will be kidnapped and killed alongside his family members.
During the attack the Victim was able to recognized one Yakubu Mamman ‘m’ 28yrs of a neighbouring village. The said suspect was arrested alongside one Muhammadu Bello ‘m’ 36yrs both of Dutsen Bello village Bauchi.
5. ARREST OF ABDUCTION/RAPE AND THUGGERY SUSPECT
You may recall that on 4/11/2017 the Command arrested three(3) suspects namely (i) Abbas Usman (aka) Gero the gang leader 18yrs (ii) Shamsuddeen Adamu (aka) Duna 18yrs and (iii) Gidado Mohammed Yayayi in connection with a case of Abduction/Armed Robbery and Rape of one Hauwa Suleiman ‘f’ of Tudun Nupawa ward Bauchi, discreet investigation by a team of Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Command led to the additional arrest of one Al’amin Usman aka ‘MAKA’ ‘m’ 20yrs of Bakaro Ward Bauchi on 28/11/2017 at about 1300hrs in connection with case.
EXHIBIT RECOVERED
i. One Frajend Motorcycle used in committing the crime.
All the cases mentioned above are under investigation after which the suspects will be charge to court as soon as possible.
